About Us

At Veritas Aequitas, we believe in bringing real-world experience, personal service, and a family touch to every project.

Founded in 2022 by Liz Lofnes, our business started small — offering part-time business development and marketing support — but has quickly grown thanks to decades of hands-on industry know-how. Liz began her career back in 1989 at James Scott Ltd, then the UK’s largest electrical contractor. It was there she met Brian, an Estimator in their Major Projects Division — and later, her husband and business partner.

After raising their family, Liz returned to the industry, joining Brian in 2017 at Marmac following a successful management buyout. Together, they went on to work at Lofnes Electrical & Mechanical Services and ETGB Group, combining their skills across estimating, marketing, and business development.

In 2025, Brian officially joined Veritas Aequitas full-time after leaving his role as Pre-construction Director at BMES (Scotland) Ltd. With over 40 years in the industry — starting as an apprentice electrician and working his way into senior leadership at some of the UK’s top M&E firms — Brian brings a lifetime of expertise in electrical estimating and project planning.

Today, we’re proud to offer a full range of pre-construction and consulting services, tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. We’re passionate about what we do and are committed to helping our clients build success, from the ground up.
